Wall and Roof Finishes

Wall and roof finishes for Neat Living Houses

During the design stage of your building, we will discuss your preferences about how you may wish to finish the exterior look of the building. A number of different options are available for the walls and roof to make your home truly yours!

Walls finishes: Perhaps your walls may be a durable render board, metal cladding, stylish timber or a natural cladding panel solution, available in a variety of finishes and colours?

Roof finishes: The roof could be a metal standing seam design, traditional slate (subject to roof pitch) or single-ply membrane? (We can alter the roof pitches if this is a requirement on certain designs).

All of these high-quality materials can be incorporated into your individual design.

Top Tip! Believe it or not mortgage lenders also like to know what percentage of timber cladding is being used. It may be a consideration that timber, such as Larch or Cedar, is used on one elevation or mixed with other materials, which can look really interesting and preferable for lenders, too!

Wall Cladding

Metal Standing Seam

Our Metal cladding is available in a wide range of colours that have been inspired by architecture in urban and environments, the natural colours blend in with any landscape as well as making a bold statement for sustainable design in a contemporary building. The ability to achieve a stable colour ensures a consistent even tone, which most other cladding and roofing materials are unable to achieve. In rural settings, metal cladding brings a unique texture to the material palette that is still sympathetic to the surroundings but sets your design apart.

Natural Cladding Panel

Often overlooked, but a really durable and stylish solution are compressed natural basalt cladding boards, which are made from sustainable, and readily available, volcanic rock that is bonded into an engineered product using an organic binding agent. The products combine the advantages of stone and workability wood. Compressed natural basalt weathers and changes colour through exposure to natural elements such as UV light, wind, rain and the surrounding environment.
This type of cladding also has a number of additional benefits such as high dimension stability and water resistance.

Render Board

Renderboard comes in a broad variety of different colours and textures. Help your Neat Living home blend in, whether you’re building in a small rural village or a modern urban development. Renderboard is available in a very large variety of different colours and textures to suit your requirements.

Timber Cladding

All of our buildings can be finished in a variety of timber solutions – including Larch or Cedar to name but two. Timber can be fixed either horizontally or vertically and profiled to suit. Shadow gaps can be used to provide a great look.

Larch is commonly used – and can be provided in a warm mix of colours, from light reddish brown through to golden browns. The cladding will turn a gorgeous grey over time as it weathers, allowing your home to transform with time.

Roof Cladding

Slate

In certain cases, depending on the pitch of the roof, we can supply slate roof tiles to give your home a more traditional aesthetic. Using slate allows us to be sympathetic to the local vernacular while still keeping our strong design language intact. (We can potentially alter roof pitches – please ask during the design stage).

Metal Standing Seam

In rural settings, metal cladding brings a unique texture to the material palette that is still sympathetic to the surroundings but sets your design apart.

Single Ply PVC

Single Ply PVC roofing is a synthetic solution that is highly effective and increasingly popular as it is very durable. It can be used on any roof slope. It is available in a number of different colours to suit different cladding combinations. We can also supply batten kits to give the single-ply roof the appearance of having ridges – similar to that of a metal roof.
